The strikes are continuing in France to call on the French president to reform his newly passed law that raises the retirement age.
The newly passed law was made without a democratic process.
This action represents national leadership not taking into consideration or being able to relate to the needs and rights of working people.
Moreover, this action represents the power of national leadership to abuse innocent people and inflict harsh legislation.
France is in an uproar of protests. Some of the demonstrations are being met by police brutality.
We at the Europe Peace Foundation stand with the protesters who are fighting for democratic justice.
A society can only exist peacefully concerning human rights through democratic and fair political processes.
