September 27, 2022, MADRID, Ongoing demonstrations are taking place in Russia as protestors stand against the military draft.

Armed police officers and civilians have engaged in violent clashes as Russia plans to mobilize 300,000 more soldiers to fight Ukraine.

A total of 100,000 Russians have crossed into the border of Kazakhstan. Up to 10,000 Russians are arriving daily.

The increased military campaign by Russia has sparked new waves of violence and civil unrest. The enforced call to war has endangered the lives of both Ukrainians and Russians.

Now a refugee crisis has begun as hundreds of thousands begin to flee Russia.

The initiation of war forces individuals to murder innocent lives and creates new generations of violence.

At the European Peace Foundation, we stand against military invasions and the imposed inscription of war.

This use of force is inhumane and generates evil.

Peaceful negotiations must be made to resolve this crisis. The only sustainable and long-lasting resolution is through respect and the lawful recognition of human rights.

The European Peace Foundation calls on international committees, activists, governments, and dissidents to unify in finding peaceful solutions.
