The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently published a call to action- the “Synthesis Report”.
The report warns of a near climate collapse unless governments phase out fossil fuels.
The call to action is of the utmost urgency since those the most affected by fossil fuels are those the least responsible.
The world is warming at record levels.
Policymakers must take this seriously by ending the expansion of the gas and coal industries which are the biggest contributors to fossil fuels.
We at the Europe Peace Foundation call for action to end the devastation of climate change to protect marginalized communities and the most vulnerable in society.
