We firmly believe in the fundamental human rights of individuals, including access to quality healthcare, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

The decision to ban abortion disregards the reproductive autonomy of women and denies them the right to make choices about their own bodies and lives.

Such restrictions not only have profound consequences for the physical and mental well-being of women but also perpetuate gender inequality and hinder progress toward a more inclusive and equitable society.

Similarly, proposed legislation seeking to limit or prohibit gender-affirming care directly infringes upon the rights of transgender individuals. Gender-affirming care plays a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of transgender people, as affirmed by medical professionals and experts in the field. Denying access to these vital healthcare services not only undermines individual autonomy but also perpetuates discrimination.

The Europe Peace Foundation stands in solidarity with women’s rights advocates, transgender communities, and organizations working to protect and uphold the rights of all individuals. We firmly reject any policies that seek to undermine access to comprehensive healthcare, including reproductive health services and gender-affirming care.
