More violence has escalated in the West Bank as settlers have attacked Palestinians.
These heightened attacks come after a surge in violence. Recently Israeli forces raided a refugee camp, killing civilians. This was then followed by an attack by a Palestinian on Israelis outside of a synagogue.
Attacks by settlers have increased with reports of cars being set on fire, homes being destroyed and even an ambulance being crashed.
The settlers are emboldened by the newly elected right-wing government which promises to expand the illegal Israeli settlements.
There are currently 290 Israeli settlements in Palestine, all of which are illegal under international law.
These settlements take the land and livelihood of Palestinians.
We at the Europe Peace Foundation stand with the protection of the human rights of Palestinians and the protection of Israelis.
We stand in solidarity with the Palestinians and all those in protest of the illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.
