The death toll has risen in Turkey as more and more people have been pulled out of the destruction and rubble.
The President of Turkey has declared a 3-month state of emergency.
So far the earthquake has affected 23 million people.
The earthquake also devastated parts of northern Syria.
The infrastructure of the country has been destroyed making it nearly impossible for rescuers to access the sites.
This disaster is becoming one of the most catastrophic natural disasters in recent years.
More than ever now, there needs to be humanitarian relief and a ceasefire from the conflicts within the regions and neighboring countries.
Budgets need to be pushed toward assisting these people.
