Over a million people have protested the retirement age raised from 62-64 by the French President.
Labor protests are not uncommon in France, however, it was a decision made without a vote of parliament.
Many are enraged that the decision was made undemocratically and see the decision being made without any consideration for the working class.
The protests have escalated continuously throughout France and have been met with police brutality leaving hundreds injured.
Unless the French government takes action to listen to the demands of its people this violence will only grow.
