MADRID SPAIN, November 1 2022

Russia has recently stated it plans to remove itself temporarily from the grain deal it has with Ukraine.

The safe passage of food from Ukraine through the black sea to the rest of the world has prevented hundreds of millions of people from hunger.

Now with Russia’s decision to not participate in the program food prices will rise.

The planned shipment from Ukraine was set for Ethiopia with 40,000 tons of grain a country that faces a grave issue of hunger.

This all comes as a cost of war and the people affected are civilians on a global scale.

If the war between Ukraine and Russia does not come to an end more countries will be affected.

Wars are global issues. They affect the entire world.

We at the Europe Peace Foundation call for a ceasefire. We call on the end of the conflict to protect the world from hunger and violence.
