Health care is a human right because every individual has the inherent right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, as recognized in various international human rights instruments.

Access to health care services is essential for individuals to lead dignified lives and achieve their full potential.

Denying people access to health care services, whether due to economic, social, or political factors, violates their fundamental human rights and leads to unnecessary suffering and preventable deaths.

Ensuring universal access to quality health care services is not only a moral obligation but also a legal obligation of states under international human rights law.
