Electricity is essential to keep a home safe.
In the winter it provides heating.
In places struggling to heat food, it protects the innocent from hunger.
We have seen in Ukraine for example, the ongoing blackouts leave many hungry and cold as the war proceeds.
Electricity provides an adequate standard of living.
Lebanon is another country facing dire support for electricity. Most civilians only receive three hours a day.
Without proper electricity, people’s human rights are unrealized and pushed further into poverty.
