Climate change affects human rights
The recent cyclone that devastated Malawi and Mozambique reminds us that no country is safe from climate change.
No country is exempt from the power the earth has to destroy.
Cyclones, hurricanes, droughts, and tsunamis are all possible disasters in the world.
These events lead to new humanitarian crises.
Lack of clean water, the spread of disease, increased poverty, displacement, crime, war, and hunger.
All of the events that devastate the world are connected.
When it comes to climate change, we see more clearly how the entire world and all humans are connected.
If we do not act as a global community to save the planet we will never find peace.
We at the Europe Peace Foundation stand in the fight to protect the earth so we may protect humans.
