Mr. KC calls on all conflicting parties, including Boko Haram in Nigeria, to engage in urgent peace talks

Statement

Thursday, April 23, 2026 – Violence in Nigeria continues, and reports received today indicate that many civilians have been killed by Boko Haram in the northeast of the country, in the villages of Pubagu and Mayo-Ladde in the states of Borno and neighbouring Adamawa. The killing of civilians is totally unacceptable.

I call on all conflicting parties, including Boko Haram, to urgently engage in constructive dialogue and peace talks. The targeting of civilians, including children and women, is a grave violation of human dignity and must end immediately. Peace is the only solution in Nigeria.

The people of Nigeria have been living in fear and insecurity for years. They want only peace, stability, and development, which is the goal of my Global Peace 2030 agenda.

-Sappan KC, President / Global Peace 2030
