Friday, March 7, 2025 – Recent media reports indicate that clashes between the newly established authorities in Syria and factions loyal to former President Bashar al-Assad in the western region of the country have resulted in over 70 fatalities, along with numerous injuries.
The violence continues to escalate in various parts of the nation. President Mr. Sappan KC calls upon all involved parties to engage in meaningful peace negotiations, as the Syrian populace yearns for enduring peace, freedom, and stability.
Dialogue and negotiation are imperative for concluding the conflict, and sustained peace talks are crucial. Ultimately, there is a pressing need for a robust and lasting peace—one that ensures a secure future for the people of Syria and prevents the emergence of future conflicts.
