PRESS RELEASES

Thursday, January 16, 2025 – I express my sincere approval of the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which marks a significant pause in the 15-month conflict in Gaza, effective from January 19. According to Palestinian health authorities, the toll of this war has tragically resulted in the deaths of at least 46,707 individuals in Gaza.

The announcement of a cessation of hostilities in Gaza is a welcome development after a prolonged period of devastating conflict. Although this resolution is long overdue, it represents a crucial breakthrough that, along with the anticipated release of remaining hostages, will provide much-needed relief to millions in Gaza, Israel, and beyond.

I urge for the prompt and comprehensive execution of the ceasefire agreement, with the hope that it will pave the way for a permanent cessation of hostilities. This development offers hope to a region that has endured significant suffering for far too long. It is imperative that both parties adhere to this agreement as a foundational step toward achieving lasting peace and stability in the area.

I advocate for peace, unity, and constructive dialogue in the Middle East to effectively address and resolve all forms of conflict.

I have been actively promoting the Global Peace agenda aimed at 2030. I continually encourage leaders, dissidents, and armed groups in the Middle East to come together in support of my “GLOBAL PEACE 2030” initiative. I have called upon the community in the Middle East to reject the use of weapons and to bring an end to war, violence, and discord, fostering a collective movement toward peace. Now, more than ever, it is crucial for individuals in the Middle East to engage in dialogue to resolve conflicts and promote mutual understanding.
