KC’s Statement on Ethiopia–Sudan Border Tensions and Internal Conflicts

Statement

3 November 2026 – The people of Ethiopia and Sudan have suffered enough. The fighting within both countries, including Sudan’s Blue Nile State, and the growing tensions along their border must end. Killings of civilians and the destruction of people’s homes are unacceptable.

I call on both governments to come together, resolve their differences through talks and support peace. Neither country should support armed groups fighting against the other. Border disputes must be settled peacefully.

My appeal is also to every party involved in the fighting inside Ethiopia and Sudan: stop the attacks, put down your arms and come to the peace table. I know there are different demands and disagreements, but more killings will not solve them. Listen to the people. They want peace, safety and a future for their children.

Both governments and all armed groups must protect civilians and allow aid to reach those who need it. Outside countries must also stop supporting violence and help bring these conflicts to an end.

Through my personal Global Peace 2030 initiative, I am ready to help mediate talks between Ethiopia and Sudan and support peace talks within both countries, if the parties agree. I want both nations to move towards lasting peace and the declaration of “Peaceful Nations.” No more killings. No more destruction. Come to the peace table.
