President KC Holds Official Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan

Juba, 14 September 2026 — President of the Europe Peace Foundation and Founder and Initiator of Global Peace 2030, Mr. Sappan KC Hum, held an official meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of South Sudan on Monday, 14 September 2026, in Juba, as part of his official peace mission to the country.

The meeting was originally scheduled with the Honourable Ambassador Dr. James Pitia Morgan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. During the official engagement at the Ministry, President KC and his delegation were received by Hon. Amb. Agnes Adlino Orifa Oswaha, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

President KC formally submitted his Special Proposal for the Declaration of South Sudan as a Peaceful Nation and Official Recognition and Support for Global Peace 2030, addressed to the Honourable Minister.

He also submitted a Certificate of Appreciation addressed to the Minister, recognising and encouraging his contribution and continued efforts towards peace, international cooperation and the development of South Sudan.

During the discussions, President KC explained that his visit to South Sudan forms part of the Global Peace 2030 mission to promote lasting peace, national unity, reconciliation, international cooperation and non-violent solutions to conflict.

President KC recognised the resilience and aspirations of the people of South Sudan and stressed that lasting peace is essential for addressing the country’s humanitarian challenges, displacement, the situation of refugees and vulnerable communities, and for creating greater opportunities for national development.

He also expressed his concern that the international community should hear more strongly about South Sudan’s efforts and aspirations for peace. He appealed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to continue using its diplomatic engagement at the regional and international levels to strengthen support for lasting peace, reconciliation and stability in South Sudan.

President KC emphasised his vision that South Sudan should move towards becoming a peaceful and stable nation by 2030 and called for stronger cooperation between national institutions, civil society, regional partners and the international community in support of this goal.

During the meeting, the Ministry welcomed President KC’s peace mission and encouraged him to continue his work for peace. The discussions also recognised the importance of initiatives that can contribute positively to national dialogue, reconciliation, humanitarian cooperation and long-term stability.

President KC reaffirmed the readiness of the Europe Peace Foundation and Global Peace 2030 to cooperate with the Government and people of South Sudan and with relevant national, regional and international partners in efforts towards lasting peace.

“Our common goal should be clear: by 2030, South Sudan should be moving forward as a nation of lasting peace, where people no longer suffer from humanitarian crises caused by violence and conflict,” President KC said.

President KC was accompanied by members of the Europe Peace Foundation and Global Peace 2030 Representation Office in South Sudan, including Mr. Amute Francis Lobalu Tongoyiamoi, Head of the Representation Office; Mr. Mborimbuko Simo Kalesto, Deputy Head; Mr. Thirik Lang Mijak, Finance and Administration Officer; Ms. Anna Suzan, Humanitarian Affairs and Protection Officer; Mr. Paul Lorem Aminathia, Project, Grant and Compliance Officer; Mrs. Nyabalash Juaj Bol, Health Programmes and Safety Officer; Ms. Flora Lokudu Latio, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding Officer; Mr. Moses Jamaica Sakondo, Social Dialogue and Mediation Officer; and Mr. Sunge Emmanuel, ICT and Communications Officer.
President KC has been on an official visit to the Republic of South Sudan since 13 September 2026 as part of his Global Peace 2030 mission. His programme in Juba includes engagements with senior government officials and representatives of communities, youth, civil society and refugee communities, with discussions focused on peace, reconciliation, humanitarian concerns and cooperation towards lasting peace by 2030.
