Statement by Mr. KC on the Situation in Nigeria
Statement
Thursday, 10 September 2026 – Violence and conflict continue in northeastern Nigeria and other parts of the country, along with persistent banditry and kidnappings. I have already called upon all parties involved in the violence and conflict to come to the negotiating table, but no one has responded to my appeal.
How many more years will this situation continue? No one will win through violence, conflict or kidnapping in this beautiful country.
Through my Global Peace 2030 Initiative, I want lasting peace in Nigeria—not only for the people of Nigeria, but also for people around the world who wish to see peace restored in the country.
Therefore, without further delay, I call for a complete ceasefire and urge all parties to come to the negotiating table. I am ready to mediate among all parties to help achieve lasting peace.
