Statement
Tuesday, 30 June 2026 -I express my deep concern regarding the ongoing conflict and violence along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, which has caused civilian suffering, loss of life, destruction, and instability.
This border conflict between both nations should stop immediately. I offer my support and willingness to facilitate and encourage peace talks and mediation efforts between both sides with the objective of ending violence and promoting lasting peace.
The people of both nations deserve peace, security, and stability. The only sustainable path forward for all parties involved is to come together through dialogue, mutual understanding, and peaceful negotiation. Armed violence is not the solution. War, violence, and conflict-based approaches belong to the past. The new generation seeks a different future for their countries – one based on peace, development, cooperation, and stability.
I appeal to the leaders of both countries and all parties involved in the conflict to come together at one table for constructive peace dialogue and work toward de-escalation and reconciliation.
Let us work together to transform both nations into peaceful, stable, and prosperous countries for present and future generations. As part of my Global Peace 2030 Agenda, I support and advocate for lasting peace, dialogue, cooperation, and a peaceful resolution to the conflict between both nations.
