The President Mr. KC’s Press Meet in Nairobi – Full Text
13 June 2026, Nairobi

Dear Press Media,

Thank you for attending my Press Meet today. I am here as part of Global Peace 2030. This means that by 2030, within 2030, I want peace in the world. I met senior government officials, including the Chair of the Senate and the Parliament of Kenya, the Governor of Nairobi County, and leaders of various organizations working in the fields of human rights, equality, education, health, and peace.

In meetings with government officials and stakeholders, I expressed my concern regarding violence and conflict in Kenya and clearly stated that the government must work together to end all forms of violence and conflict in the nation. I know that Kenya plays an important regional role in promoting peace, while neighboring countries continue to face war and conflict.

As we are aware that many countries in Africa are in conflict, this is not acceptable. Therefore, Africa is important for me, as I want to achieve total peace in Africa. I also clearly stated in all meetings with the officials that Kenya shares borders with Somalia, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Uganda, where security challenges and armed conflicts continue to affect the region. Instability in neighbouring countries can also have an impact on surrounding nations. Therefore, continued efforts to prevent violence and strengthen peace and security remain important for Kenya and the wider region.

I also stated in the meetings that issues relating to human rights and gender-based violence occasionally arise and require continued attention. Kenya is already recognized as a country that has made significant progress in peace, stability, and development. The future of the country remains in the hands of its people and institutions. Kenya is a nation rich in culture, resources, and human potential. The world is watching, and the whole of Africa is watching Nairobi Peace. During my meeting with the Governor of Nairobi, he agreed with me and expressed his commitment to involving the Governor’s office and local communities to work together for a city free from violence and conflict.

Repeatedly, I also clearly stated in all meetings with the officials that the Government must ensure the next general election is conducted fairly and peacefully and address the aspirations of the people, who seek lasting peace, stability, economic development, accessible healthcare, and quality education. Free healthcare, free education, jobs, peace, and stability are what Kenyan people want for this country. They only want free healthcare, free education, jobs, peace, and stability in the country. Repeatedly, I also clearly stated in all meetings with the officials that the Government must ensure the next general election is conducted fairly and peacefully and address the aspirations of the people, who seek lasting peace, stability, economic development, accessible healthcare, and quality education.

Next year, I want a fair election, no more violence, and peace. The neighboring countries are in conflict; only this country is peaceful. Local community violence still continues. my understanding, this is a peaceful country. Kenya is also a major power in Africa, so peace in this country is necessary and important. If the government is not serious about achieving peace, progress will be delayed. It is time to think and time to act.

Also, in my meetings with all government officials, as well as in Parliament, they will soon endorse my Global Peace 2030 Agenda and declare Kenya a Country of Peace. The Governor of Nairobi also agreed to make Nairobi a City of Peace by 2030. I hope that in the coming year, during the election, I will get the opportunity to visit this country for election monitoring.

Thank you “Let me know if you have any questions. —————————
