Mr. KC Condemns Inhumane Attack on Hospital in Afghanistan
Statement
Tuesday, 17 March 2026 – I strongly condemn the reported airstrike on a hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan, which has caused the deaths of many civilians and left hundreds injured. An attack on a hospital is inhumane and totally unacceptable under any circumstances.
The killing of civilians and attacks on medical facilities have no place in our world and cannot be justified in any way. I call on both Pakistan and Afghanistan to immediately declare a ceasefire and begin peaceful dialogue to resolve their border issues. I remain ready to support mediation for peace between the two nations.
While both nations accuse each other, it is the civilians who suffer the most from ongoing conflict and violence. The suffering and loss of innocent lives must come to an end.
Peace is the only solution. Both nations have already experienced the devastating consequences of conflict and violence in the past. The new generation deserves peace, not more conflict. Through my Global Peace 2030 Initiative, I have repeatedly appealed to both countries to choose dialogue and cooperation, and to become an example of peace for the world.
